This page explains, in simple words, how we use information you give us.
We may use your name, phone number, email address and information about the support you are asking about. Do not put detailed medical or financial information in an online form.
You can ask what information we have about you. You can ask us to correct it or delete it in some situations.
We will not assume how you communicate. We will ask you what works best for you.
You might use pictures, symbols or a communication board or book. You might use PECS, which is a specific system for exchanging pictures. You might use Makaton signs and symbols with speech.
You might use speech, gestures, pointing or eye pointing. You might use AAC. AAC means tools or devices that help you communicate.
You might use Easy Read or BSL, which means British Sign Language. You can ask for an interpreter or advocate. Family or a supporter can be involved if you want.
We will ask you. We will listen to your answer. You can say no. You can change your mind.
There is no pressure to make a decision. We will listen and help you find the next step.
