Which Lodge services could help?

  • Care at home — daily support, dementia care, after hospital and respite.
  • Adult services — supported living, residential care and community support.
  • Cameron House — a nurturing children’s home.

How do quality, safeguarding and outcomes fit together?

Good support should make room for a full life. We bring safety, thoughtful practice and meaningful progress together around the person.

  • Safeguarding first — people’s safety, rights and voice stay at the centre of every decision.
  • Clear outcomes — we focus on the progress, confidence and independence that matter to each person.
  • Life beyond care — meaningful activity, connection and choice are part of good support.

Which of these sounds most like you?

Pick the sentence that is closest. You do not need to have it all worked out — that is our job.

How do we make room for the person?

We are all unique. Lodge Group Care sees the individual, not the difference. We take time to understand the person behind the paperwork — their character, how they communicate, what they enjoy, who matters to them, what they are good at and what they are hoping for.

Care should not make people fit a service. The service should make room for the person.

  • Your voice matters. We listen to how you communicate, what you choose and what makes a good day for you.
  • Your life is yours. Support starts with your interests, your routines and the things you want to explore.
  • Your relationships count. Family, friends and the people you trust are part of the whole picture.
  • Your future can grow. The right support builds confidence, belonging and room for new possibilities.

What happens after you get in touch?

  1. Get in touch and speak to a real person in Romford.
  2. Meet with our team at home or somewhere that suits you.
  3. Agree a plan together, with no pressure.

Let’s talk about money early

Some people pay for their own care, some are funded by the council or the NHS, and many use direct payments to choose their own provider. We’ll help you understand which applies to you before anything starts. Our calculator gives you a sense of Care Services home-care costs; other services need an individual costing from our team.

How does our care stay connected?

From a visit at home to a children’s home or supported living, our shared approach stays human, thoughtful and focused on the life beyond the service.

  1. We listen first. We start with the person, their story and what a good day looks like to them.
  2. We understand the whole picture. Our teams bring the right experience together and work with families and professionals.
  3. We make progress possible. Support is shaped around confidence, connection, choice and a life with purpose.

How did Lodge Group Care begin?

I founded Lodge Group Care in 2007 with a single residential home for children with learning disabilities. The idea was simple: understand the person, then build the support around them, not the other way round. Nearly twenty years on we support people at home, in supported living and at our children's home, and that idea has not changed.

If you are reading this because someone you love needs help, I know how heavy that can feel. Call us. Ask anything. We will listen first.

— John Timbs, Founder and Managing Director

“A big part of my role at Cameron House is helping create a safe, consistent home where children feel known, listened to and valued. When children feel secure and understood, they have the confidence to grow, build relationships and be themselves.”

— Alina, Registered Manager, Cameron House Children’s Home

What do families often ask?

How much does care cost and how is it funded?

Care can be paid for by the person, the council, the NHS or through direct payments. We will explain the options that may apply before anything starts.

How quickly can care start?

Care can start after we understand your situation and confirm the next available step. Timings depend on the service, assessment and local availability.

Which areas do you support?

We support people across Romford, Hornchurch, Upminster, Havering, Barking, Ilford, east London and Essex. Tell us your area and we will confirm whether the service is available.

What happens at a free visit?

A free visit is a conversation at home or somewhere that suits you. We listen to what matters, talk through what could help, and answer your questions. There is no obligation.

What should I do in an emergency?

Call 999 if someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help. Our website and enquiry forms are not an emergency service.

How do I raise a concern?

Call us on 01708 548 250 so we can listen and help. You can also read our safeguarding and complaints information or ask the team for support.
