Meet the Lodge family
One Lodge family. Many people, one care.
At Lodge Group Care, family is more than a word. We are part of a big family of people who listen, care and stand alongside one another.
Different roles. One big family.
The people on this page bring different skills, experiences and responsibilities. What connects us is the way we show up for one another and for the people we support.
John Timbs
Founder and Managing Director of Lodge Group Care.
John founded Lodge Group Care in 2007 after dedicating his working life to supporting vulnerable people across East and North East London. His wider sector work includes Care Providers Voice, the Havering Place Based Partnership and Care City’s Community Board, bringing providers and health partners together to improve local care and address inequalities. He also co-founded My Employment Ltd, which developed ME Passport to make workers’ compliance records easier to carry between health and social care employers.
Aranza Cobo
Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and firefighter.
Aranza joined Lodge Group Care in 2015. She is a qualified Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist with postgraduate study in autism, learning disability and sensory integration. Her work includes assessing people’s needs, creating outcome-focused independent-living programmes and helping teams build practical skills through training in moving and handling, autism awareness and safer support. Her Lodge Group experience has also included the training team and supported-living operational leadership. Alongside her care-sector work, Aranza serves as a firefighter.
Alina Opris
Registered Manager, Cameron House Children’s Home.
Alina progressed from Care Coordinator at Cameron House to Registered Manager. A qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, postgraduate study in Autism and Asperger Syndrome, and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
